I used to come to this location all the time. It was close and easy. But since they took out the self check outs, the lines are ALWAYS ridiculous. They only have like maybe 2 to 3 cashiers at a time. And every single line is so long. If you're gonna take out the self check out, at least get more cashiers to control the lines!

A Clean, Well Organized, And Efficiently Planned Out Store.. Note that the Self-Checkout Area has been recently removed and that All Purchases Must be through the Manned Checkout Stations.. Depending upon when you Arrive there may be a Long wait as only a few of the Manned Checkout Stations are open at any one time..

This is my local vons so I go here a lot. Meat selection always has expired stuff so I have to look for one that's not past the sell by date. They are understaffed (usually only 3 lanes open) and the lines are always ridiculous. On the bright side, they do have nice employees. All of the employees have been cool to me.. except for one person. Nothing racial but for identification purposes, she is a young, heavy-set, light skin black girl who is always rude to me for no reason! She acts kind and friendly with everyone else but as soon as it's me she flips a switch. She never bags my groceries, barely says a word to me, and gives me nasty looks. I usually just deal with it, but today I noticed the customer behind me was treated very differently. She bagged all their groceries IN FRONT OF ME WHILE I WAS STILL BAGGING my own groceries. She said happy new year and was very kind to them. You might be thinking we had some sort of bad interaction in the past that made her dislike me but I promise you this never happened. I'm always kind, I never cause problems.. in fact, I have barely even interacted with her. There's no logical or viable reason for her to have a problem with me so I don't understand why she treats me like this. At this point my only conclusion is that she might be racist towards Asian people like myself. I have dealt with her attitude for awhile but I'm tired of it. I'm no longer going to be patient or kind with this stranger if she can't do the same for me. I will be calling in until they do something about this.

Fix your shopping carts. How are people supposed to bring groceries to their vehicles in your parking garage when the wheels on all carts lock up the second they enter the elevator? Ridiculous, you suck and obviously don't care about the demographic that shops at this Vons.

I’m sure maintaining this store is an uphill battle but this joint is headed downhill fast. They recently closed their self checkout line because they claimed they couldn’t handle the new city ordinance, however every other grocery store I’ve been to in the area seems to handle it fine. The security guards often have their back turned from the lowlifes hanging out near the front entrance accosting customers as they enter. At peak traffic hours they have 3 registers open, often backing lines up into the middle of grocery isle. Good luck if you’re just trying to buy some butter or milk. Also the joy of buying any liquor there is second to none. It is easily the closest and most walkable grocery store to my front door and I’ll be getting in my car to go somewhere else from now on.
