Radio Silence

I’ve been going to McDonald’s all month to play the Monopoly game and I’ve won a lot of free food using the AMOE offers, as well as by purchasing hot teas, coffees, and a couple of hot platter meals.
I started to notice that I wasn’t receiving points when placing mobile orders or when ordering at the register after scanning my rewards barcode. At times, I forgot to scan, and I didn’t always receive a readable receipt which didn’t matter anyway, because the printed receipts are unreadable (photo attached as proof).
I contacted McDonald’s about my missing points and was told to use the app to manually enter the code from the printed receipts. However, because the receipts are unreadable, I cannot enter the information. I also tried explaining that mobile order points are not showing up, but McDonald’s has stopped responding to my emails.
Once this Monopoly promotion is over, I am deleting my McDonald’s account and will no longer be visiting their locations. I have already stopped going to Taco Bell and Burger King (over 29 days now), and I haven’t been to Little Caesars in about two months.
I am saving money and eating more at home. These places have become a waste of money. It is actually cheaper to eat at my local Mexican restaurant, where I receive better value and service.
This situation with McDonald’s is similar to why I stopped going to Chili’s in Visalia, California—being ignored by staff after paying, or being directed to kiosks with no support.
Today was the final straw.
I went in specifically to prove that the app is not awarding points. Nearly two hours later, I still have not received the points for my purchase. I placed both a mobile order and a register order for documentation.
Additionally, the last several times I ordered hot tea and coffee through the mobile app, I added sugar to the order, but it was not included. Today, when I waited for assistance, no one helped me for several minutes, even as multiple employees walked past. I eventually placed another mobile order just to get sugar. The employee who had helped me earlier acknowledged the sugar order but still prioritized other customers who arrived after I was already waiting. When she finally handed me sugar, she gave me far more than requested, which felt dismissive and unprofessional.
McDonald’s clearly does not need my money if this is how customers are treated.
Companies seem to forget: Customers keep you in business—not shareholders. Shareholders only invest because customers spend money. If customers stop buying, shareholders leave, and the company fails.
The customer is the foundation of your business.
Corporations ultimately serve their board members and shareholders. They take customers’ money, but often stop caring about the customers once they’ve grown large enough. They forget that it was the customers who built their success in the first place. If customers stop spending, the shareholders and board members will pull out, sell their assets, and the company can end up filing for bankruptcy.
MCD isnt worth going anymore since 2023 i noticed the Fries are not the same and gotten worse this year, thats why i dont even buy a combo meal anymore, the fries at my lcoation are always Soggy and mushy, they also dont seem to have salt most of the time and what i always liked about MCD fries was the snap, how long and straight they were like each fry took a viagra small little blue pill, waiting for me to snap into them, but over the past few years that snap, the longness, that flavor they once had are gone, my goal was to always try and eat them before i got home before they got cold but now they seem to come pre-cold, pre-soggy and pre-flavorless. the soda is $1.69 its cheaper to drive cross the street to ampm 79 cents oh wait few weeks ago price went up to 89 cents now 89 cents for a large drink or $1.69 down street at anotehr gas station.
so MCD isnt cheap and the flavor the love the respect for that place is gone.
