  Waiter took away my unfinished meal and drink when I stood up to answer a phone call. Came back inside and my entire meal was gone, new people sitting at my table. The waiter (I think female) but dressed as a boy offered no remedy other than a check. Mind you, I could’ve just left. But I waited even longer to receive a check with no remedy except a smirk. Terrible waitstaff. Needs a zero rating.

  Nice place to stop enjoy the view, grab a drink and a quick bite. Nothing extraordinary but the atmosphere is very good.

  Fun place to get good food if you're on a trip, commuting to/from work, came for the view, or going for a ride... overlooks Lake Elsinore, CA. Great for fireworks during the 4th.

  It's easy to just stop for the awesome view directly down to Lake Elsinore. But it's appropriate to make a purchase from this classic roadhouse when you can. They have a diverse menu of tasty foods for anyone in your group, at surprisingly reasonable prices. I thought seating was outside only at the ordering window, but there's an entrance and sit-down inside too. Hours and parking are very limited. Most food is not premade, so give the kind staff time to do their thing while you enjoy the scenery. Really, don't expect anything fast here. Be courteous and don't over-extend your visit, for others who are also stopping in this small area for view and refreshment. Be extremely careful exiting traffic to the dirt parking area, and rejoining traffic that might not be aware of this small and easily missed rest area.
