I've shopped here multiple times, and every single time I find rotten vegetables and moldy cheese stocked on the shelves. I bought an expensive package of cheese only to find it caked in mold under the label. The ground beef is pink on the outside, but inside it brown and rotten. Maybe they dye it, honestly, because there's no way it's put out fresh. Disgusting health hazards everywhere!

They have a store policy of charging in-store pricing based on your own just for you shopping card record. In recent years, I have taken to ordering my groceries from Safeway that I then pick up in the parking lot later that day. I pay the same price I would have I done the shopping. I find their shopping for me to be quite accurate and I appreciate not having to go through the store looking for things. There is no charge for this service. I did have an Instacart membership a few years ago during the beginning of Covid and I placed grocery orders through there, but they seem to charge more And I prefer to keep my grocery bill as low as possible. When I’m ready to pick up, I let them know that I’m on my way and I tell them what parking spot I am in and they very kindly bring them to the car and load them. I’ve been very happy with the service.

This whole thing with digital coupons and needing the app on your phone is absurd. It takes twice as long to check out, sometimes longer, and usually involves needing to hand your phone over to the cashier because the user interface is trash. It’s bad for customers and bad for business.
