  I loved the style of this pizza place. The food is really good such as the pizza, chicken, and the caesar salad. So yummy! The place is crowded but manageable to get yor order on time. The staff are approachable and they really work fast. The place is clean.

  Ordered half sausage and half burrata & basil, but got a mixed up and late order. They were very busy during the lunch hour. But pizza was really good and large. A pizza slice can do, it's big.

  Love this place! Excellent pizza! Actually the third best pizza I’ve ever had behind Ye Old Pizza Joynt in San Lorenzo, CA (burned down April 2003), and Pizza My Heart in Capitola, CA. The Garlic Knots weren’t the best but were OK. And it was a little pricey as most places are in La Jolla. However, they have plastic straws!! So 5+ from me!! Next time I’m in town I’ll be back!

  Best pizza by the slice in La Jolla. Great toppings, speedy service, high-quality pizza. If you sit at the counter, you can watch them make the pizzas/other dishes. The staff knows what they’re doing! We arrived hungry and tried four different slices: BBQ chicken (8.5/10), chicken bacon ranch (10/10), sausage and ricotta (9.5/10), and hot honey pepperoni (10/10). They accidentally gave us a buffalo chicken slice instead of what we originally ordered, but they fixed the problem quickly and we were given the correct slice after clarifying. Very casual atmosphere with TVs and people coming over from the beach. Can get crowded, but people tend to stay less than 20 min, so the crowds flow in and out. Kinda like the ocean. If you have spent the day by the ocean and need a slice (or two) of pizza, I highly recommend stopping by Dough Momma.

  Called in an order for a margarita pizza, and the order went smoothly and I was told a reasonable wait time for a Saturday night. Upon arrival, we were served relatively quickly for how busy it was, and we were able to pay and take out quickly. It wasn't until I got home that I was left disappointed one too many times. I used to come to this restaurant every weekend a couple of years ago as it used to be my favorite place to get pizza. A few months ago, I stopped going as they could never really get it right the first time, when last night I decided to give it a try once again for a simple margarita pizza and they again still could not get it right. The pizza was overwhelmingly charred and distasteful. I regret to say, I think this is the last nail in the coffin, and I will probably not be back.
