This place has really gone downhill. I was at the Vons on foothill last week. A man by the name of Lina was at the cashier. It's obvious that he is not happy with his job and he is taking it out on the customers. He started whining and complaining that they were short staffed and that they're busy. He then proceeds to tell me, do you want to bag your groceries while I finish scanning? The short answer is no, absolutely not! That is not my job!! When I told him that this is not good for paying customers. He replies with "Well at Food For Less , they don't even bag your groceries". Which I responded, there's a reason why customers bag their own groceries. Because it is "Food for Less"! I can't believe he had the gall to say that to a "Paying customer". If I have to bag my own groceries, there's no point in me going to Vons. The staff is lazy, rude and, nosy! I was there the week before last. And this latin woman just assumed that i'm a grandmother because i'm purchasing a balloon and birthday cards that say grandmother. On several occasions, when I've been there. You hear these cashiers talking about politics. Their job is to scan the groceries bag them and leave politics at home. One never knows what the customers political affiliation is. That nonsense gets really old really fast. These people just need to shut their mouths. Be courteous, professional and do their job!! I will be reporting this to corporate office!

My 91 year old mother and myself have been loyal customers for a long time. Today when we came to shop A young man was selling candy bards from a box as he walked around in the parking lot approaching every customer. Was not for schooll function or any declared purpose simply soliciation. When we got out of the car he approached i told him no. Then he asked my mother i again told him and that i just told him no. He smirked and and said "whatever old man" He followed towards the store i told he to leave us alone and that what he was doing was illegal. At that moment an employee of your store was coming inside and yelled at me approaching my close saying "Leave him alone hes not bothering anyone. Leave him alone!" I told the employee to mind his own business. He continued becoming louder and more agressive as we entered the store. My mom and myself walked away as the employee went down the hallway behind the bakery. Another employee came out to see what was going on and was told by another employee "its that kid he is outside again"My mom and myself went in and did out shopping. I mentioned to the employee at the self service checkstands what happened and that we were very dissapointed that an employee would become agressive and defend someone harassing and selling items in the parking lot. When we went ou to our car the kid was stand next to it with a smirk and told me to "get in my car old man they let me do what i want here..drive away..just drive away".
Simply check you parking lot camera and front entrance camera From 930 to 1015 am. So you will see what male employees it was and be abel to validate all of this.

I come to this Von's because it is bigger than the one closer to me...I had a grateful experience of one of the checkers running out to my car in the parking lot after I left to give me a card that was missed and left behind, dang I wish I remembered his name, but I returned a week later to give him a thank you card.
