We had dinner with two friends at this restaurant for the first time. It was really bad. I had the "shaved chicken strawberry salad" the chicken was not cooked completely and of course tough as nails. Sent it back for another different salad selection, at least the chicken on this one was cooked. One of the friends in our group ordered "Chicken Marsala" , she said the gravy tasted burnt, we tried it and it did not taste correct at all. She had to reorder. The men's restoroom was flithy and need of repair, and according to the women in the group, the womens RM was very dirty. My wife's order was a weak bolognese dish not much better. Wow, did not expect this from a Irvine Spectrum eatery!

I went to Brio Restaurant in the Irvine Spectrum yesterday, November 7th, and during the past year, I have visited this restaurant about six times. I'm writing this review because I’ve noticed how this restaurant has been degrading its service over time.
Brio now has a policy of charging $5.99 for what used to be complimentary bread, which is fine, it’s not a big deal. The problem arose when the waitress didn’t offer the bread at the beginning of the service. Based on previous visits, we were expecting it, so after waiting for 20 minutes, we asked her about it. She replied, “Oh, now the bread has a price. Do you want it?”
So why didn’t she offer the bread in the first place instead of letting us wait hungry for 20 minutes? After that, the waitress brought us one wrong plate, making us wait even longer.
The whole experience was ruined by the unnecessary waiting, not because of the bread’s price (which is fine) but because the waitress didn’t do her job properly. We are not planning to go back again.

Nice upscale Italian food in the Spectrum Center. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Bathrooms were 4 out of 5 stars, but the food was excellent. Went there with a friend's family for a wedding dinner. Never been before but I would go back. The world series with the Dodgers was on so it was a little louder than normal - consider this is in LA and the Dodgers are THE team everyone loves here. Overall the the staff was friendly and quick and the food was outstanding. The parking was tough, limited to a couple small places nearby and a garage but overall it was manageable. If you drive a big truck the garage isnt the best option as youre limited to first floor or valet - or a decent walk. So know that before you arrive. I had the Lobster Bisque and it was fantastic!

Everything was great about our early dinner with some friends: food, service, and atmosphere as well as the menu.

We had a business dinner at Brio in Spectrum Irvine last Tuesday. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was just okay. The kitchen really needs to take things more seriously if they want to fix it and step up their game. Service was decent, but overall, the experience didn’t quite meet expectations for a place with such potential.
