We love shopping at this store because it’s close & convenient, but unfortunately we’ve had ongoing & increasingly concerning issues with food quality & it’s become too frequent to ignore. For months now, it feels like almost every visit results in having to return something spoiled. We have been regular customers for years now & we have had many returns over the course of that time. I’ve purchased milk here multiple times that was already spoiled before the expiration date, something that does not happen when we shop at other grocery stores. We recently opened a chip dip that had visible mold, just bought Brussels sprouts that had a strong fishy smell while still raw, which is a sign of early spoilage. Within the past week, bread purchased here was covered in mold. The most disturbing experience was in the meat department, after picking up a package of chicken, my hands had a strong rotten smell, which was genuinely disgusting & alarming. What makes this even more frustrating is that prices at this location have gone up significantly since the pandemic. They are now charging more than higher end grocery stores in better areas, yet the quality here is far worse. We’re in Inglewood, but these are Beverly Hills prices with far less quality & oversight. These issues seem to be isolated to this store & raise serious concerns about product rotation, storage & food safety. We want to keep shopping here, but something needs to be addressed because this is no longer just inconvenient, it’s a health concern.

This particular store is a horrible place to come to do your grocery shopping. There are always very long lines at the registers, several times when I've tried to buzz employees to come help out with objects behind the glass like in the pharmacy, no one comes or I have to ring the bell constantly for several minutes just to annoy them enough for them to come eventually, and I've encountered many employees there that were very slow at checking out or doing their jobs otherwise. I understand that this is a business with certain costs, but I always think they need to just hire more employees to deal with all these gaps. If I didn't have to come to this particular store occasionally to do orders like with Instacart or Doordash, I would never come here for myself.

Dear Vons human resource manager, I'm 60 years old and I lived and shopped in supermarkets in the U.S for 33 years, I've never received more hostile and rude service at the check out stand as today by cashier TAYE on 12/08/25 at 18:53. I bought 10 boxes of Soleil soda, I put one on the belt, then informed the cashier Ms. TAYE I have 9 other in my cart. She rolled her eyes, then push the scanner (without the wire one) into my hand, still with the poker face. I said I have never been asked by a supermarket cashier who ask a customer to scan the merchandise themselves. She stared in my eyes for a few seconds, realizing I wasn't going to be bullied into scanning my grocery, she then called a male cashier at the next lane to scan them. After I finished my purchase, before I stepped out the door, I remember I need $2 of quarters to refill water outside, because dollar bills sometimes go in and out and is a huge hassle. So I went back to Ms. TAYE, asked her if she could give me $2 dollars of quarters. She replied "I don't have any quarters." poker face. Then I asked the male cashier next to her, do you have $2 of quarters? He said, he only had $1. Never looked at me. 1. I have NEVER, in 33 years of grocery shopping, have been asked by a cashier to scan my own grocery 2. I have never in 33 years in a supermarket where the cashiers don't have $2 dollars quarters, especially I just bought $47.99 food, not like I went in to ask without shopping there. Majority of the cashiers at this Vons notoriously have THE WORST attitude towards customers, nobody ever asked how are you, did you find everything you want? That's fine, forget the niceties. But hand the scanner and ask the customer to scan their grocery themselves? Really? I've lived and shopped at supermarket for 33 years, this is a FIRST. Being "ordered" to scan my own groceries. There are SO MANY cars parked there overnight or permanently, even though there are only Vons and Planet Fitness, it's always extremely difficult to find parking. Cashiers most of them are rude, maybe because I'm the only Asian customer. I don't know for sure, it's just a guessing, because it would be insane if your cashiers routinely ask customers to scan for example 8 gallons of water in the cart, or soda in my cart. I'm already trying my best to avoid shopping at this Vons because of the attitude, strawberries sometimes already has "white hair" at the bottom of the box, the difficulty to find parking cause the neighborhood use the lot as their private parking. Now the cashiers just handed me the scanner? If she had even the basic manner and asked "could you do me a favor and scan these soda in your cart?" I might have done it. But she stared at me as if I bothered her to scan the soda in my cart, then these two cashiers told me they don't have change for $2, THAT, I have never experienced in 33 years either. I would appreciate it to have a response regarding my shopping experience at your Inglewood Manchester Store and get an apology for your employees' behaviors towards me. It's rude and humiliating.
