    Everything was fine until I was charged for a salsa that the guy ahead of me got for free, but I guess because I was not Hispanic I ended up having to pay, so I felt very discriminated against. Will not be going back to this location.

    This place is the worst! Today I ordered an 8 piece, chicken only and they gave me the usual container with only three pieces! How did this order get through two ppl without them realizing that the weight was off or taking a peek to make sure it was the correct order, I don’t know. So of course I had to go back (while my own dinner got cold, so thanks for that) and I got the feeling they didn’t believe me. I am usually the person that tries to get through the drive thru line fairly efficiently but no longer. I am going to start to check and double check that they game me the correct order every time! I promise I won’t be mad if others do this, because this place gets it wrong soooo often!

    On February 18, I visited the Hawthorne & Prairie location for lunch. It is convenient and local to my workplace and I visit here often. I placed my order at the location via the kiosk inside. The main reason I chose El Pollo loco on this day is because I had a 25% off promo for the double shrimp bowl. When I placed my order via the kiosk, I had to scan the app to receive rewards and discount. After receiving my receipt, I noticed the promo was not added to my order as it mentioned. I went to the desk to inform the staff and also to request no crema sauce (as stated on the ingredients). There was no one at the register, but there was a young woman packing up orders at the counter, so I grabbed her attention, asking for assistance with my order. She initially ignored me as if she didn’t hear me seeking her attention. Eventually once I had her attention, she addressed me as if I was disturbing her from her duties with her demeanor. I asked her if they could not add the crema sauce to my bowl and she replied “the avocado sauce?”. I told her I want the avocado/cilantro sauce, but the ingredients states a crema sauce, which I am familiar with and do not want. She went back and forth with me invalidating what I was requesting. I then asked if there was a manager or someone else available to assist me (considering she didn’t know what she was talking about). She then got an older woman that claimed she was the supervisor. I explained to her my concerns and it appeared she was going to assist me. When I confirmed the sauce that came on my bowl, she immediately confirmed that it came with a crema sauce (as I suggested). I let her know this was the sauce I was referring to and again requested that they ensure this was not put on my order. I let her know that her colleague was going back and forth with me as if I did not know what I was talking about. As we talked, the staff member just stood by looking. The supervisor then asks me about the promo code and I reiterated that I scanned it but didn’t receive discount. She then tells me that I was unable to use promo code because it was unavailable. I have already spent over $21 for a tostada bowl, and now have to over explain myself when it comes to what I intentionally ordered. Frustrated that this defeated the whole purpose on why I came here, I asked her was there nothing she could do to honor this code considering she was the manager and could see that the code was in my app and was deducted from my rewards. She then gave me a $5 discount. My order initially was a combo and should have come with a drink (which they did not give to me), even after correcting my order and the mishap. The supervisor tried to tell me I did not order a combo (mind you the receipt was still attached to my bag, clearly stating a combo. I never received an apology for the confusion caused and both staff were very nonchalant, while the supervisor constantly thanked me and telling me to have a good day, while I was ranting about my distaste for their service. I will never return to this location due to the disrespect and dismissive conduct I received. Other staff from my department come here for lunch but will also not be returning due to the service.

    Arrived today Sunday March 1st at 10am at the drive thru and the girl just ignored me and walked away I parked my car tried to walk in and another employee slammed the door on my face and said we are closed, I said it’s 10am she maybe in like 5 minutes we will open. Unbelievable I hope corporate looks into this location.
