Today I went to Vons to use my WIC benefits because it was the last day before renewal. The cashier scanned all my items, charged my WIC card successfully, and I received a receipt. When I was about to pay the remaining $13, the register froze. The Filipina lady asked help from the white guy. The guy was getting frustrated because the register had froze and he had to rescan everything at the other register. He was throwing everything at the other side and I feel like he's telling me that it was my fault. And then he rescanned everything at another register and swipe my WIC card again. However, my WIC card no longer worked because it had already been charged, leaving my balance at zero. This issue was not my fault, yet I had to pay out of pocket. They didn’t even said sorry for what happened and the inconvenience they caused. After leaving the store, my husband just decided to all the items due to the error caused by the cashier and the register. We received a refund for the money we paid, but my WIC benefits were never returned to my account. Very disappointing experience. VONS please ensure your employees are properly trained to treat all customers with kindness and respect.

The one with glasses. She was nice and polite to EVERYBODY and mean rude to me for absolutely no reason no reason, yelling raising her voice at me because I’m BLACK. To any black person readying this avoid that racist lady.
