I went in requesting a baseball-themed cake and showed a clear reference picture of what I wanted. Not only did the decorator fail to deliver what I asked for, but she was extremely rude to me. I was uncomfortable addressing it directly with her, so I asked my parents to go back on my behalf. Unfortunately, she was even more disrespectful toward them. When asked if she could make the cake look like the original picture we provided, she said yes—but then stated it wouldn’t be ready until the next day and would cost more than the $35 I had already been charged for minimal decoration. She also insisted the reference cake used fondant, when it was very obviously icing, and dismissed my mom with the comment “I speak cake.” That level of arrogance and disrespect toward paying customers is unacceptable. The customer service we received was unprofessional, unkind, and completely disheartening. It’s disappointing that Albertsons would allow someone with such a poor attitude to represent their bakery. I expected better.
