  I'm visiting on business travel for an extended stay and was looking for a local place to shop for groceries. I was disappointed that I didn't find a typical selection of prepared food and salad kits. I know inventory can vary. I was most disappointed with the very long wait for the deli staff to prepare some deli meat and cheese slices. She had difficulty finding the items and finding the prices. Perhaps not the typical staff or not a good night. But it was frustrating for the long wait while others were also waiting their turn.

  This Safeway has been my go-to grocery store for several years. As of late, however, there has been rotating groups of creepy people hounding the front of the store. Upon entering and shopping around today, I was met with a group of three people huddling around the Pokemon vending machine. Before long, I heard yelling and shouting at the store entrance, and it turned out to be a grown woman, her two children, and a grown man arguing over a dispensable product. After talking with staff, I learned that these people have sometimes stayed over nine hours by the front entrance and have a history of verbal/physical harassment, even to children! There is absolutely disgusting behavior happening on a daily basis and nothing is being done about the situation--I recommend steering clear until this is either resolved with established security or removal of the machine!

  I'm a regular here and honestly do enjoy shopping here the staff is great but I absolutely cannot stand the scalping problem this store has. As soon as you enter the store you have a group of people standing in the entrance who give dirty looks if you try to test your luck in the machine. While doing my regular shopping today I did end up getting lucky and got a a pack in front of them and one of them immediately stuck their neck out in front of the machine while i was still on it to look what i got and another person said "ill let you have that" as if he's entitled to it. If corporate or management is seeing this please do something about these people that do nothing but block entrances and harass customers in the store.
