Once I got home, I realized I have been missing several items that I needed to start on a recipe right away And told them they look an entire bag that was missed! They said that Safeway did not offer delivery so I would have to come back and get my much needed ingredients or I could get a refund and go re-buy all my stuff they said . Are you explaining to them how it is very hectic in the holidays and that I think it is unfair that I have to waste gas to go back-and-forth for their mistake they did Apologize amd stated that was my only options so I returned to the store to get my stuff. They told me I had to come in to customer service which originally my order was curbside to avoid getting off I am immune compromised and handicap and try not to have too much interaction with the public, especially during the winter. They located my bag with several cold items that they said they overlooked in the frigerated department… I was not offered help out with my bag that was heavy with milk orange juice cheeses etc- clerk asked is there a gift card in the guy who brought it out the same one who missed the bag in the beginning said I think so pull out the gift card and toss it back in the bag and handed me the bag and said nothing to me- I considered their customer service, very rude and dismissive. I will not return to the Safeway or any other Safeway! Disappointing! Not a good way to start the holiday season! I would hope that your employees would be competent enough to fulfill the order and that I could be confident driving away from your establishment without having to go through my items and check and balance everything. The most disappointing thing was the treatment I received on the phone as well as when I return to the store to pick up my items. I seem like I was a burden and inconvenience in them for their own mistake. With costs rising customer service becomes a priority to me and I will not tolerate being treated poorly and not getting my complete order fulfilled. There are many options out there to shop at besides Safeway and we will do so as a family unit.
