  I was treated to a perfect experience yesterday. Hiro, our sushi chef, is a magician. The staff was very attentive and anticipated our every need. So happy to have shared this with friends, and family for thier first time. We'll be back. 👍

  What a joke, I was at this restaurant yesterday and saw the owner running after these guys because they didn't tip the waitress but to be honest I was sitting there next to them and waitress didn't give them good services, no spoon no forks when they already having their food. It was a mess to be honest. And again its not an obligation to tip someone when they dont give you good service. This was my first and last time going there !!!

  My boyfriend and I had the best sushi experience at Akita Sushi in Escondido! The fish quality was absolutely top tier! Every piece was melt in your mouth fresh and beautifully prepared. You can truly taste the difference in the quality and care they put into their sushi. We ordered the Beauty Combo, and it completely lived up to its name. The selection was stunning and perfectly balanced. Buttery, fresh, and so flavorful. Every bite just dissolved. It’s one of those meals where you slow down because you don’t want it to end. We also started with the mixed tempura and spicy garlic edamame, which were both incredible. The tempura was light and crispy (not greasy at all), and the edamame had the perfect kick of heat and garlic. For dessert, we had their house-made crème brûlée, and wow! The perfect sweet finish. You can tell it’s made in house, and it was just as impressive as everything else. The service was attentive, kind, and welcoming from start to finish. If you’re craving high quality sushi, this spot is a must. We’ll definitely be back!

  Simply amazing, we drove 30 miles to get here based on other reviews. I highly recommend the jalapeno YT roll, excellent. The next time I come I'm going to go for the omakasa as the chefs look very experienced and will provide an incredible experience.

  Love this place so much!!!!! Have been going here and enjoying this place since 2016!! It’s rare to find a restaurant that stays this consistent year after year they never disappoint. I always leave happy and highly recommend it to anyone looking for wonderful Japanese food and sushi! Every dish is made with such care and quality, and you can really taste the difference. The rolls are always delicious, beautifully presented, and made with consistently fresh ingredients. The staff is kind, welcoming, and attentive, which makes every visit feel comfortable and enjoyable. The atmosphere is clean, relaxing, and honestly makes me feel like I’m back in Japan. I also really appreciate that they offer some great vegetarian options, so everyone can find something they love. It’s the only sushi restaurant I’ve truly loved in this area.
