I think In-n-Out has a little edge on the burgers, but 5 guys has better fries. [March 2026 Update] Food quality remains top notch. As a person who likes salt, I think they are a little heavy with salt on the fries. I suggest asking for lite salt when you order. But to 5 Guy Management, you need to get your pricing model better. $30+ for burger, fries and a coke is way oit of the price range for fast food style, working man's lunch. What used to be an every Friday lunch thing is now, once a month.

The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.

Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.

We are switching to fry bags to ensure your fries stay fresher and as part of our larger commitment to the environment.
