Tony has issues. The part where he says he’s all alone and I was literally talking with another cashier right beside him. Makes no sense. Is he on something? This is not how we act in Cali. He also couldn’t help me with my coupon. Mind you I was being calm and even sympathized with him for being “alone” in the store until the other cashier walked up to the customer service desk. What sparked his outrage? Idk? I was talking with the other employee after paying for my stuff and asked him how he liked working here and how the other stores I go to are usually helpful. A little bit annoyed but mind you I was NOT aggressive whatsoever and didn’t even speak to him much until he interrupted our conversation and aggressively came over and asked if I needed anything in a loud voice. Mind u he also stepped away as a cashier helping another person when he did this. Did he think I was harassing the other employee? No definitely not I was just talking with him. What a weirdo. I’m reporting it to corporate actually already called. He ruined my whole shopping trip after I already had a very good customer service when talking with the deli guy.

This Von's bakery is undoubtedly the best in SD county. Siovash went beyond good service by designing a beautiful custom cake for my family's special dietary needs. Aesthetic and nutritional excellence.

I was just in the store and was overcharged for some items. They were originally marked $5.99, and were labeled as 50% off, but the discount did not come off. (I know it's only a few dollars, but I thought since it was an obvious mistake on the part of the store, it would be handled quickly and efficiently, and I would go on with my day. I was very wrong.)
When I realized, I came back into the store and went to the service desk. When standing at the service desk lane, I noticed the "Price Accuracy Guarantee" hanging directly over the register I was at. I have included an image of the sign here. When it was my turn to address the cashier, I referenced the policy, given that the top situation explained on the sign applies directly to this situation. The cashier said if I wanted to apply that policy, I would have to go to the lane for the person that originally cashed me out. So I go to wait in another line. After explaining the situation to the second cashier, a third one shows up, going by the name of "John B". I explained the situation to him, and he said he would not be applying the policy in this situation, but couldn't give me a reason as to why. I guess he just didn't feel like it. He gave me the partial refund. I explained that I was not pleased with that decision, and that I would call the number on the sign.
I left the store and called the number on the sign in the image. After explaining the situation, I was told that this phone number is only for online purchases. Yikes. What a mess, Vons.
So, I decided to call the store number on my receipt. Because I was just speaking with him, it was obvious to me when John B. answered the phone. I asked for the store manager. He said that he was the store manager. I asked for his name then, and he literally whispered to someone else at the store, and I quote, "what's the name we're supposed to use?". He then told me to hang on, came back after about 10 seconds, and said his name was George Murphy. Double yikes, Vons. Is it store policy to pretend to be the store manager when you feel like lying to customers over a few dollars? Was it really worth it, John?
After explaining the situation to fake George, he apologized, and said have a good day. I assumed he was going to hang up, but then changed his mind. He said to come back to the store, ask for John again, and he would resolve the situation. Given all the time I have wasted on this nonsense, I will not be going back today. If I do ever return to the store, you can be sure I will be speaking with George directly, so that he knows (even though I am assuming he already is aware of this sham), that his employees don't like to follow posted policies and pretend to be him when they make a mess of things.

Pretty disturbing and disgusting. Purchased a coffee drink out of the check stand fridges, checked out, took a sip and it was chunky! Looked at the expiration date and it was expired OCTOBER 8TH 2025. Its currently November 17th 2025. How horrible. When I brought it back in, they just asked if I wanted another or a refund. I took the refund because I was not comfortable getting another one. How disturbing and the fact that no one even seemed concerned that something is on their shelf over a month past expiration, no concern that a customer also DRANK an expired product. Makes me question everything in the store and would not feel comfortable shopping here again.
