I ordered the Saucy Aisan Poke with a mixed green base, salmon and tuna. It came with spicy marinatade, carrots, slaws, white onions, kimchi gochujang aioli. The fish tasted good, but the overall flavor was a bit too overwhelming. I could mostly taste the sauce in my poke. The portion was also a little for me, so it didn't feel very filling.
I also tried their sweet and spicy chicken wings, which were really delicious, it was juicy and flavorful. I highly recommended getting their fried chicken!
It was easy to place an order, you can either order in person or use the kiosk machine. The staff were really friendly and attentive.
americanized korean food, not bad if you want a fast dining option.
A group of us went to the grand opening of Tokyo Central and decided to try this place. We all thought everything was pretty mid. Flavors were OK, but nothing special and we all felt it was overpriced. Our Korean friends didn’t like it at all, but everyone else thought it was just OK. We’re going to try some other places around Tokyo Central, but we probably won’t come back here.
Located on the Bay Street Plaza in Emeryville, on the second floor next to Barnes and Nobles. Saucy Asian is a Korean fusion restaurant. It’s a trendy place and is pretty busy all the way to closing time. We came in today after shopping at the new Tokyo Central across the street for a late dinner. We ordered at 7:58pm and did not receive our food until 8:26pm which was quite long wait for what we ordered. There is some indoor seating as well as outdoor seating.
As for food we ordered:
- Saucy Asian Bowl
- Saucy Asian Fries
- Island Style Poke Bowl (combo: half tuna/half Salmon)
All the food were good, have no complaints, but have had better elsewhere. Overall, if we’re in the mood for their food, we would come back.
Even better than I expected. Very saucy yet feels healthy at the same time. Great fusion-style Korean food. I want to come back to dine in and enjoy some soju with the food.
