- SSSwanee SDec 23, 20252.0The front assistant manager, with long black hair helping the cashier I was with was extremely rude. I had a raincheck for untrimmed tri-tip roast at $4.99/lb unlimited. At the time of the sale which was a couple of weeks prior it was also unlim. Which was why the raincheck was written Unlim. I attempted to use the raincheck the following couple of days of the sale but it was sold out. This trip I was able to get it. I got 2 pkgs. Cashier Leslie did not know how to handle the raincheck so called the manager. The assistant manager or manager kept saying out loud and insisting that Safeway never gives out rain checks for unlim and that the almost 13 pounds I was getting was unheard of and she was trying to figure out who would have given the raincheck. In the meantime there's a long line of people. Leslie kept telling me the tri-tip has not gone on sale for a long time and questioned when I would have received such a raincheck. It was humiliating and I felt like a criminal. They were implying I must have gotten the raincheck illegitimately or something. The manager finished the sale but was extremely rude while doing so. Unbelievable! It was just meat and I'm a frequent customer! Please retrain these 2 employees, especially the assistant manager. This review was based on my visit on Tues, Dec. 22nd at approx 4:15P.
