- SASteve A.Mar 9, 20261.0Absolutely embarrassing experience at Karl Strauss. We walked in and stood at the entrance for 3-5 minutes with no host and no one greeting us. The girl at the bar clearly saw my family and me but chose to ignore us like we didn’t exist. Completely unprofessional. When the food finally came, they brought our appetizers without utensils. When I asked for some, the waiter looked shocked as if we were expected to eat with our hands. Then she casually said they had run out of utensils and would try to “clean some.” A restaurant that runs out of utensils? Seriously? To top it off, they messed up my order and brought it missing the salad. When I pointed it out, the waitress responded with “Really?” instead of apologizing. This place is poorly managed, unprofessional, and clearly doesn’t care about customers. I’ll be calling the manager and disputing the charge. If this is the standard at Karl Strauss, they should be embarrassed!
