No fresh bakery that I could see, which is one of the reasons I go to Safeway.

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. As a disabled individual who relys on my medical alert service dog DAILY to continue being as independent as I am, they DO NOT follow California health code and ADA federal law when its associated with individuals like me. They willingly and knowingly allow other animals in the store, allow those pets to stick their noses into the meat department where it’s exposed to a number of contamination. I talked with their manager on staff today (NOVEMBER 11,2025 at 11:58am) which I calmly informed her of the laws, codes, and what she can/needs to do to correct the situation, she chose to do NOTHING. I’ll be contacting the DOJ to formally make a complaint as well as getting a hold of our local health inspectors to investigate. I tried to be nice about the situation but when I’m told that (quote) “I’m you’re the only one having a problem, then you need to leave” then I’ll ba taking it many steps above you. DO NOT SHOP HERE if you’re a disabled individual or don’t want cross contamination from people bringing in their untrained animals and sticking their paws and noses into your meat, cheese, and “fresh” produce.

Their pick up service is great. It saves me time and money (keeps me from grabbing something not on my list).
