  Noisy. Took a long time to get our drinks, even though we were comped for them. Food was good. Probably not going back. Too many other good choices in Claremont.

  Bartenders are fairly slow and for a dead period it took more than 15 minutes to get a partial drink order with the rest of the order being forgotten. By the time someone checked up on me, I really just wanted to pay for the drinks and get out of there. Weird atmosphere overall comparatively to other bars in the area.

  My friends and I came at night and wanted to enjoy the music and setting together. We all walked in and were later rudely told that the place was only 21+ despite no postage signage and the bouncer not being at the door. He made some of my friends leave who just wanted to get a soda. The rest of us then bought drinks at the bar and went outside to the patio to drink them because it was very hot inside. A couple minutes later the bouncer (who once again was not at the door) comes and grabs all our drinks and says that we’re not allowed to finish our drinks. We did not realize that we were allowed to go to the patio of the restaurant and once we stated that we weren’t leaving without finishing our drinks he reluctantly let us finish our drinks inside. However, he turned off the music, turned on all the lights, and told us we had to leave after we finished. Absolutely disgusted with this behavior. Paying guests who did not break a single rule should not be treated this way. Rather, the bouncer who simply did not do his job tried to flex his “authority” on us. Will never be going back again.

  We went today at 8 pm knowing they close at 9, we sat down and the server came directly making the “last call” very little tact with the customer, in other words he was telling us to leave, so we did but never to return, we went to Eureka and they greeted us with a smile.

  We went there during happy hour. We ordered Mojo fries, empanadas, house burger, churrasco steak. My drink was a spicy margarita with more syrup than usual margaritas. Mojo fries and burger were very good, but the empanadas and churrasco were not that good (but the beans side in the churrasco meal was perfect). Chicken tinga Empanadas were just okay. Churasco is usually made of very good quality skirt steak but this one was just regular flank steak and disappointing considering the price. Rice near the churrasco was very bland, it almost felt a day old. It really didn’t taste like churrasco, they can update that name on the menu. Service was great though. The place was under strong smoke from the grill, which was a bit overwhelming at times.
