  I always get the mapo tofu and green beans which are invariably delicious. Excellent service, really kind staff. The restaurant is also really pretty and comfortable.

  My family has either ordered from or eaten at Ginkgo several times over the last year (they are our "go-to restaurant" when we're pressed for time). The food (Sichuan Chinese) is delicious, and the people are friendly: we recommend it!

  This restaurant has authentic Chinese food that beyond delicious, we enjoyed everything that we ordered. And very kind personal with warm service! Highly recommend!

  I’m a visitor in Claremont and tried Ginkgo Chinese restaurant, it really surprised me that they have such authentic Sichuan food. I loved the spicy hot pot (the portion is very generous). I’d come back if I visit the local area again.

  Check amount before pay! We dined and later realized our bill already included an 18% service charge, with no verbal notice from the staff. The printed check still showed a 20% tip option, which we selected, assuming tip was not included. Worse, the tip was calculated on top of tax and the 18% service charge, not the pre-tax food amount. → Total service-related charges paid: 44% For a casual restaurant, this is far outside the normal 18–20% tipping range. This isn’t about service quality—it’s about lack of transparency and confusing billing practices.
