- MRMarianne ruizOct 3, 20251.0I am writing this review specifically to address the extremely unprofessional and verbally abusive conduct of the Front End Manager, Grover, at this Safeway location. During my visit , I was checking out when Manager Grover publicly and aggressively yelled at my cashier. The cashier was simply performing their job duties, and Grover’s tone and language were aggressive, demeaning, and entirely unwarranted. This was not a private correction; it was a loud, humiliating, and inappropriate verbal outburst witnessed by me and other customers. It created an immediate atmosphere of intense discomfort and stress. Watching a manager verbally abuse an employee in front of a customer is not only poor leadership, but it reflects a toxic and unprofessional work environment that should not be tolerated by Safeway. Employees deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of the situation. A manager who resorts to public yelling and verbal abuse is unfit for their role. I urge the store management and corporate Human Resources to investigate the conduct of Grover immediately. His behavior is extremely detrimental to staff morale and significantly detracts from the customer experience.
