  We had a really disappointing experience here. Our group of 10+ people came in, spent over $500, and were just having a good time—laughing, talking, and enjoying ourselves. We weren’t causing problems, just being a lively group. Out of nowhere, we were cut off from alcohol service after only a few drinks each, with no clear explanation. It felt abrupt and unfair, especially considering how much we had already spent and that we were respectful the entire time. On top of that, we paid $90 for an hour on the virtual game system, and it kept crashing while we were using it. It took away from the experience, and we didn’t even ask for a refund or anything—we just let it go at the time. What made the situation worse is that it honestly felt like we were being singled out. I can’t say for certain what the reason was, but the way it was handled left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. If you’re going to limit service or charge for experiences, at least make sure things are working properly, communicate clearly, and treat guests consistently. This experience definitely left a bad impression on our whole group.

  We had our after-wedding party at Draft Republic in Carlsbad, and it could not have been a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make everything feel personal and seamless. They truly understood the importance of the occasion and made our group feel welcomed and taken care of the entire night. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone had a great time. It didn’t feel like just another reservation; it felt like a celebration they were proud to be part of. The food was fantastic across the board, with something for everyone, and everything we ordered came out fresh and delicious. On top of that, the atmosphere was lively and fun, which made it perfect for continuing the celebration with friends and family. What really stood out, though, were the people. The team at Draft Republic made the night memorable with their positive energy and professionalism. If you’re looking for a place that delivers great food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment—especially for a special event—this is it. We’ll absolutely be back.

  Family friendly environment. Dined there last week with the family and enjoyed the happy hour selection. Great service.

  Come for the beer not the food. This rating would’ve been higher if I just came for beer as the selection was very good. That said the food was average to bad and all overpriced. We got steak, sliders (1 each) and kids pizza. Steak was below average, sliders were bad, and pizza was “mid” (per my kid). Oh and we got the brownie ice cream dessert and the brownie was hard :( Again, drink don’t eat here

  The food and service were good. But there was an added charge on the bill for rising costs. I felt like this was a hidden cost, as the costs of the ingredients should be covered in the advertised price. Also, $4.50 for a soda seemed steep.
