This was our second time at this location, and unfortunately, our second not-so-great experience. The Mountain View location is one of our favorites, so we really wanted to give this one another chance. The first time, we ordered three drinks — two alcoholic and one zero-proof — and my daughter was accidentally given the alcoholic one. We mentioned it to the manager in a very friendly way, just as a heads-up. After about six months, we decided to try again. It was a busy night, and I totally understand how the industry works (I also work in hospitality), but the service was extremely slow. Our server Nicole was doing her best, but she clearly needed more support from management. The manager was just chatting at the host stand instead of helping on the floor. We waited over 12 minutes just to get someone to take our order or bring the check. We even asked a couple of bussers for help because we had been waiting so long, but when they went to ask someone, they were told, “That’s not my table.” So it’s pretty clear they’re not allowed or trained to help outside their section. This isn’t on them or on Nicole — it’s a management issue. As for the drinks, the Aperol Spritz was flat, and the hibiscus cocktail didn’t taste like hibiscus at all — just a strange mix of flavors.

Cocktails were size-able. Fried artichoke was greasy. Pear salad was a safari hunt for pieces of pear in the greens. There were a few chunks of cheese. Pizza was raw. What a disaster.

We visited in October. Excellent Italian food. We had pizza and pumpkin ravioli. Pizza delicious as usual. pumpkin ravioli excellent, very delicate flavor with a hint of sage and a light sauce. Good quality, skimpy quantity (12 not too big, ravioli)Luckily we had plenty of bread to do “scarpetta” with the ravioli sauce. Should have ordered a couple of appetizers. Also really good tiramisu. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I had dinner at Doppio Zero in the Campbell on Saturday evening, around 7pm. The service was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the calamari (very tasty since they were very lighted breaded), their famous pizza with burrata, prosciutto, parmesan and arugula toppings (great combination of ingredients, and pizza dough was delicious). The burrata cheese was excellent! We finished off with a desert (profiteroles— very, very tasty and the portion was also not so big which was good). We had Italian Rose wine and a German type Pilsner from the tap. The icing on the cake was that we were had front row seats for the yearly Zombie Dance in Campbell when they made the dance group made their way up and down Campbell Main Street. We will be back! Thank you for this very nice evening.

A group of people in Halloween costumes walked in and performed to "Thriller". Completely unexpected and thrilling.
