⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Josh P. at the Cameron Park Safeway was incredibly helpful today (12/18/2025). I was having issues with multiple gift cards, at the self check out and he was patient, calm, and proceeded to get us checked out without making me feel rushed or frustrated. His customer service was outstanding and made what could have been a stressful situation so much easier. Safeway is lucky to have an employee like Josh—thank you for the great service!

The cashier Kathy had one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever experienced at a Safeway in my life. Immediately talking about us to another employee who was purchasing something infront of me and giving us dirty looks before we even got up to her! And for what? Because we have tattoos? Then When we did get to her, she acted like we were scum of the earth and she was so disturbed to even have to interact with us. I’m so glad we were only stopping by in this town and don’t have to come here all the time. I will never be back to this Safeway. And if you can’t hold back at least the look on your face, MAYBE DONT WORK A CUSTOMER SERVICE JOB! The discrimination exuding from this woman is disgusting

Trigger warning!! Nicole!!! I had one of the worst cashier experiences at this location thanks to a woman named Nicole working the register. I tried to purchase wine and had my little brothers with me who are clearly not of age (they were buying cookies) She asked to see everyone’s ID which seemed passive aggressive as I was with children who look like children, then said she can’t sell to me if I’m accompanied by minors. I was annoyed as my day was long and this was my last stop but life moves on. What bothered me is how she treated me, she smiled as she look the bottles away, made me feel so uncomfortable as she finished up, no goodbye, no have a nice night, no ounce of remorse for the inconvenience, in fact she looked quite satisfied with herself and hurt my feelings. I don’t need extreme kindness but if you’re at work I don’t think you should go out of your way to be mean and visibly enjoy it. I ended up going to bel air and had a wonderful experience there so anyone under 30 trying to buy wine or adult beverages in the area, skip out on Safeway. And if you have to go….and you see Nicole, RUN. Girl has bad energy.

A great Safeway in Cameron Park, CA. They had some unique items I don’t usually see at my store in AZ.
