- TBTrevor BrownJan 2, 20262.0This store has sold me quite a few expired foods, and most recently I came in to buy some hardwood firewood, only to find it wasn't seasoned (hisses when burned, and very, very difficult to burn even with a gas insert). I simply can't recommend this Vons to anyone at this point. I come in every so often and purchase certain goods you can't find elsewhere, but I've moved my primary shopping habits elsewhere. I asked someone who worked there if any sort of refund could be provided for the bad wood, and they said since I burned some of it, that wasn't possible. How exactly am I supposed to know the firewood is internally wet and unseasoned if I don't burn it? I'm just so disappointed at this point. Here's a picture of what's left of that wood. It's been in there for an hour, and all the wood I bought at the DIY center next door that was shoved under it is nearly extinguished.
