As much as I wanted to love this place because I love Berkeley Marina, I had a poor experience. I took Mom over for the first time, we ordered appetizers just to experience and test the food, vibe, etc. I get mine after about 20 mins and she had to wait atleast 30 after that for her little tacos to arrive. I was done with my bite long ago and we were close to just leaving the restaurant, disappointed as we couldn't even eat at the same time.
In addition, when we were done it took forever to close the tab and pay, overall there was a lot of unnecessary stalling and time wasting, we didn't feel respected.
Location was great as it’s near the water. Im sure if it wasn’t raining the view would have been beautiful. Not sure if it was me but the floor was very slippers. I had to walk slowly not to slip.
Food was okay, it was very tasty yet too salty for me. It didnt really stand to me. It was a normal meal.
Service was great, the team was accommodating, attentive and prompt. Food never came too late.

I’ve been here multiple times with family, friends, and business associates. Everyone has enjoyed it, every time. I honestly don’t know if there is a more picturesque spot in the Bay Area. You are literally on the water, and most tables have a full view of the bay, from the San Rafael bridge to the Bay Bridge and everything in between including Alcatraz, Golden Gate, SF skyline, and marine life.
And we haven’t even mentioned the food and service! I would recommend lunch or early dinner as it gets crowded quickly. Service is prompt depending on time, love the menu, and prices are very reasonable is considering the atmosphere, view, and quality. Today we had a lobster & shrimp sandwich and a French dip. Both were fantastic! The lobster bisque was a bit too creamy/sweet for my taste, but I’ve also had their chowder which is solid. And the bread they include with your meal is topped in garlic and butter - and it would easily cost $10 as a separate item at many restaurants.
Easy to find and park, right on the west tip of the Berkeley marina, University Ave exit just off Highway 80. Highly recommend!
Ok, I have been to a lot of different restaurants, but this is by far my new favorite place!!! The wait staff and hostesses were fantastic. You cannot beat the location, looking out onto the water watching the sunset, the colors playing over the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge. The food was exquisite, each dish presented to perfection. Even my daughter said it was the best plain cheeseburger she has ever tasted. I tried it - she is right.
We can’t wait to go back!
This is about the service but please note I had the surf & turf here the shrimp was not fully deveined 🤢: Service was very underwhelming. Despite having a reservation and arriving 10minutes prior me and my party had to wait 15minutes after our reservation to be seated. The worst part of the evening here was the lack of service from the waiter. Not only did it take so long for him to greet us and ask if we wanted at least drinks, from there on for the rest of the night it was so long of wait for anything we needed. From drinks, bread, appetizers, straws, refills, our meal, the check all like 20minutes + waits in between each. My party and I spent 3hrs here not because we wanted to but because we waited mostly. Days later I discussed my experience with some co workers and it just so happens that they have had a similar experience with the service waiting for simple things like drinks.
