  This is a family favorite due to its location and the good food. It's pricey due to the location but nice for a special occasion. The Mahi Mahi and chicken dishes were very good, and the seafood dish with a pile of avocado and corn on top was fresh and beautiful. Menu drawbacks would be the lack of a vegetarian main and the so-so mashed potatoes. Brittney was very sweet and attentive to us and to my food allergies, communicating any potential kitchen limitations kindly.

  My friend and I went here for my birthday, this place is amazing! Our waitress was Tracy and she made my day so special. We tried many different dishes, and the quality is an easy ten out of ten, not to mention the beautiful view we had from our table looking out at San Francisco. I would definitely comeback again and try everything on their menu! Thank you, Tracy for the wonderful lunch experience!

  I just finished eating there with my husband and friends we don’t often get to see. We walked in and asked to sit at the bar. The hostess told us the bar wasn’t opened but we could sit there and wait for our friends to arrive so we went to the bar. The bar was actually open and had been for an hour. We enjoyed a couple cocktails. Our friends arrived and we had another round. We asked for the check indicating for all 4 of us. We paid the check and went to our table. The service at our table was horrible! We didn’t get our food at the same time, had to ask for drinks several time before we got them. We had dinner and went back to the bar to get informed that we had 20 minutes to drink because a party was coming in and they were closing the bar…What restaurant closes their biggest money maker??? So at the bar and one of the bartenders comes over and tells us that we skipped out on our bill….um what?? Turns out they didn’t charge us for all of our drink’s earlier. So now we have one bartender laughing at us, another scowling at us and one ignoring us. The manager came over and said nothing to us. Her back was to us, no apology. We are not people who would ever skip out on our bill. We are also great tippers! Anyway just sharing because the experience should have been amazing.. beautiful view, lovely restaurant but the staff is absolutely terrible. Poor management, staff that has no idea what is happening and seem to really not want to be there. It’s really too bad. Wanted to love this place and make it a must do when we are in San Francisco.

  Let's get to the point this is a landmark and Berkeley right there on the water but the beautiful Oakland Bay bridge in your site. If you look a little further, you can see the Golden Gate Bridge The atmosphere alone is breathtaking. However, the service was not good. I did a review and I let them know. I was doing a review. I got excellent service. I gave them five stars across the board came back a little later and I didn't Announced that I was doing a review when I didn't announce that I was doing a review for Google. The service was horrible. I couldn't get my waiters attention. I will waive my hand. He would look the other way he took forever to get to my table. the portions were small. The hospitality was not what it should've been at all, but when I announced that I was doing a review. It was excellent. There's something wrong with this picture.

  My husband and I spent Valentines Day at Skate on the Bay when we arrived i was excited to dine in the restaurant as I hadn't been there since pre pandemic. Note as we were walking to our table I noticed alot of open sitting. When we arrived to our table I noticed another couple already sitting there I was in shocked. Nobody had ask if this was okay nobody offer to sit us somewhere else they jus acted like this was normal. We sat down and didn't make a fuss as we didn't want to ruin our special night. As we started to make small talk with the couple at the table we found out that they didn't have a reservation note we did have a reservation this was also disturbing. They were really nice and none of this has to do with them this on the restaurant as I am very displeased with the experience especially on Valentines Day. Might I add we paid over $200 for our meal just to share it with another couple at a restaurant that was not being thoughtful on this special day. Please let me know if anyone else has a similar experience. Just to add the food was good and staff was okay.
