Terrible, dismissive customer service.
It used to be a great grocery store years ago before Safeway / Albertson’s took over.
Now you can pay more for groceries, experience less choice
and receive impertinent treatment by the cashier.
I noticed the produce rang up a different price and attempted to inquire about it, only to be interrupted to put my phone number into the payment machine.
Honestly, if you have to shop here, you’d be better off using the automatic check out. In retrospect, I wish I’d remained with that option.
As a side note, if you’d like cash back with your transaction, do not tap your debit card.

I had a very negative experience at Andronico’s Community Markets, driven by unclear parking signage and extremely poor staff behavior.
The parking lot had no clear signage explaining that customers are required to shop at Andronico’s before going anywhere else. After being questioned about this made-up rule, I went into the store seeking clarification and help.
Instead of assistance, a staff member named Brendon/Brandon responded in a defensive and hostile manner, questioning whether I was even a customer and implying that I was lying. This was despite the fact that the store has cameras and I had a receipt with my credit card transaction as proof of purchase.
When I asked to speak with a store manager, the request was dismissed outright. Two checkout employees then joined in, backing each other up and arguing with me rather than trying to resolve the situation. At no point did anyone attempt to de-escalate or help. It felt like staff were banding together against a customer, which was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional.
The tone, accusations, and lack of basic customer respect were deeply upsetting. I also left questioning whether race and gender bias played a role in how I was spoken to and treated, given how quickly staff escalated to accusations instead of offering help.
This experience reflects serious gaps in employee training, customer service standards, and signage clarity. I am consulting legal counsel regarding unclear signage, unfair penalties, and the conduct of staff, with all evidence collected already.
I strongly caution others and hope management takes accountability and retrains their employees.

BEWARE!!! Don't order produce from here! Had to toss all my vegetable & fruit as they were moldy and rotten. Not sure how they allow this to stay on shelves AND be selected for online orders. Additionally, they delivered deli meat that was 2 days expired!! Andronico's did not provide credit or exchange - what a waste.

This is one of the best supermarkets in the world. When Safeway took it over they made it a little worse but still it's amazing
