I purchased Feta cheese from their specialty section for a salad that I was making for dinner guests that night. When I opened the container of feta, the cheese had black mold all over it and smelled horrible. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to go back to the store to get a new container or get a refund. So I tossed it in the trash. The expiration date for this product was still two weeks away. This isn’t the first time this has happened at this Safeway location. Earlier this year I bought some Naan bread and it was also moldy. Lesson learned, next time I’ll drive to Raley’s because this Safeway sells expired and moldy food.

My online order arrived with a salmon substitution but WAS NOT CONTAIINED IN PLASTIC WRAP thus was exposed to the environment. Fortunately, it was frozen. I took it back for a refund. Secondly, I noticed the picker received a $17 tip. I have no idea where this came from. Apparently tips are defaulted? I've never experienced this before.

No one should ever go to a grocery store and be made to feel that way. Customer service tried to blame it on my sensitivities…. Turns out I’m not sensitive in the way they were implying….its a shame there are people like this. I have never experienced that kind of treatment ever at a grocery store. Management is now aware of the situation… Benicia is my home town… I hope in the future not to see this disgusting behavior and customer service again.
