My order at the Walmart McDonald’s was completed in a reasonable amount of time today, and I want to acknowledge that first. From the moment my order was placed to the moment my food was actually handed to me, I timed it at roughly three minutes, which is perfectly acceptable.
The issue is the continued misuse of the order tracking system. As soon as a staff member was free to access the order management syatem, all pending orders were immediately marked as completed and removed from the queue, even though several customers ahead of me were still waiting for their food. The display skipped the normal “being prepared” stage entirely and simply cleared every order out.
This matters because the queue screens are genuinely useful for customers, especially during busy periods. They help people understand roughly how long they may still need to wait. When orders are falsely marked as delivered before they are actually ready, the screens become meaningless and misleading.
Based on what I’ve observed at this location over multiple visits, this appears to be a routine practice rather than a one-time mistake. I suspect it is being done to improve reported preparation-time metrics when they are running slower than they were today (today was much faster than their usual prep time by quite a lot). If that is the case, corporate management should understand that the data being generated is inaccurate and does not reflect the real customer experience.
I want to stress again that today’s actual wait time was reasonable (although unusually fast for this location on a Saturday afternoon based on my past experience here). My concern is not about waiting three minutes. My concern is about staff routinely marking orders as completed before customers receive them, despite local management seemingly being aware of the issue. If the screens and tracking system are going to exist, they should either be used properly or not shown to customers at all.

Nuggets had a disgusting sandy grit as if they were dropped on the floor Threw them away after one bite.
Cashier laughed in my face when I said I don't mind waiting for freshly cooked.

Lady marks the order as soon as she gets it and when I go to pick up the order, it takes 10 mins for them to make it. Ridiculous. Happens every time

Everytime I've come here the service is painfully slow. It seems like this location doesn't plan for morning or lunch rush, therefore they make customers wait while the get their act together. Ordered a few breakfast sandwiches, hashbrowns, a muffin and drinks. My coffee tasted like water, zero coffee flavor whatsoever. The English Muffins were burnt and inedible. The chocolate chip muffin tasted odd, incredibly artificial tasting. I hated it. What a waste of money.

I can’t believe we eating from McDonald’s meals from our childhood and ever I spent more than $20 at this McDonald’s and was refused a simple Coke refill by restaurant manager Mr.ALLEN which cost them less then $1.The employee denied it rudely without any proper explanation. That’s completely unacceptable.
For the amount customers pay, basic service like this shouldn’t even be an issue. The staff clearly need better training in customer service and attitude or change the staff. Very disappointing experience — I won’t be returning to this location McDonald westbank in walmart.
