worst save on. they sold me Full Price bread that expired in 30 hours AND they put giant sheets over everything in the store 20 mins before they even close so i couldn’t even buy anything else. not that id want to anymore because i already got scammed on the bread and who knows what else. and right now it’d cost more money in gas to go return the bread than the bread is even worth.

I would like to recognize the great work of Catherine, who was working on August 24 around 6:00 p.m. She was working at the only open till, with a line of more than seven customers, many of them with heavy loads. Despite being extremely busy and working on her own, Catherine helped every customer very quickly, greeting everyone with a positive and friendly attitude. No other staff members were assisting her, and eventually the customers themselves had to request help from Customer Service. Thank you very much, Catherine, for your hard work! It is truly appreciated, even though I don't always say it every time I see you.

Something is wrong here. I bought 4 russet patatoes this morning and got charged $8.63. The price advertized was $2.99/Lbs and the scale at the register scaled it at 1.31Kg (2.89Lbs). The problem is that the actual weight tested on 2 different digital scales at home weighed it at 2.10Lbs on both respectively so (0.79Lbs) more. The price should have been $6.28. So I was charged $2.36 more than it should have been. I do believe weight and measurement Canada should visit this store and check those scales. I also suggest anyone shopping at that store to keep a close eye on those scales. And do yourself a favor and get yourself a food scale at home. I've been seeing more and more discrepencies between advertised weight on the packages and the actual real weight once scaled, and not just from that stores. And for those who might doubt the accuracy of my scales, they are accurate and I tested them with a 100g stainless steel calibration weight just before weighing the patatoes.

I had a disappointing experience at this Save-On-Foods regarding an advertised sale and the Scanner Price Accuracy Code. I picked up an item that was clearly advertised as $10 off, but when I scanned it at the self-checkout it rang up at full price. An employee checked the shelf, confirmed the sale, and adjusted the price. When I mentioned that the Scanner Price Accuracy Code should apply because the item scanned higher than the advertised price, I was sent to customer service. There, I was told the item was not on sale. A manager then repeated that it wasn't on sale, despite the fact that the original employee had already verified the sale and adjusted the price. Only after the original employee returned with the shelf sale tag did the manager acknowledge that the item was, in fact, advertised at the discounted price. However, the manager then told me that the Scanner Price Accuracy Code does not apply to sale items, which is not my understanding of the Code for participating retailers. The item was eventually provided at no charge, but only after a lengthy discussion, and I was told it would be done "this one time." My concern isn't that I received the item for free—it's that customers shouldn't have to debate an advertised price or be given incorrect information about the Scanner Price Accuracy Code. I hope Save-On-Foods provides additional training so staff and management apply the Code consistently and customers receive the advertised pricing without unnecessary conflict.
