  I had multiple bad experiences at this location, and it’s honestly very disappointing. My first experience was on April 10. I placed an online order and received a confirmation that it was ready for pickup. When I arrived, the restaurant was not busy at all—no lineup inside and no activity at the drive-thru. However, there was no one at the front counter. I waited for 18 minutes before anyone showed up. When a staff member finally came, I told him I was there for pickup. He said I still had to wait 20 minutes, even though my order was marked “ready.” I sat down and noticed him checking with the kitchen, only to realize my order hadn’t even been started yet. He then began preparing it, and I had to wait another 15 minutes. When I finally received my food, I was told that next time I should let them know I’ve arrived so they can start cooking it—which defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. Honestly, I don’t understand the point of ordering online or ahead if you still have to wait that long and the food isn’t even prepared until you arrive. My second experience was today, and it was even worse. I ordered just a large gravy for pickup. Again, the place was not busy—only one other customer waiting and no drive-thru lineup. When someone finally came to the front and called my name, I honestly thought they were about to hand me my order—but instead, they told me to wait a few more minutes. I ended up waiting 15 minutes for a simple gravy. It felt like I was completely forgotten, and if I hadn’t called their attention again, I’m sure I would have waited even longer since they were starting to assist new customers coming in. Both visits showed the same issues: no organization, no urgency, no proper acknowledgment, and no apology. This is basic customer service that is completely missing. Management seriously needs to address these problems. Based on other reviews, this appears to be an ongoing issue, not a one-time mistake. This is by far the worst location I’ve experienced.

  We visit this store once or twice a week. I have always loved KFC. I have always only liked dark meat and don’t like or eat white meat at all. I was so angry when I got home to find they had changed my order from dark to white meat. Living in Sooke I was not taking it back. If I was told they had no dark meat I would have chosen not to get it. Instead I was made to pay for something I didn’t order and couldn’t eat. I will not be returning to this store.
