  I shop here fairly regularly, and staff are typically friendly, the aisles and washroom are clean and bakery aisle usually well stocked, but I've noticed the last few weeks that the selection has gone down and everything is now kept in these larger plastic boxes. I assume it may have something to do with complaints about the fruit files a few weeks ago, but if customers are still allowed to buy individual items, a sign would help, or smaller boxes of "one" same as used for the single slices of cake.. The boxes look the same as the pre-packed ones, but obviously an individual fresh pastry or croissant costs more than those of a pack of 6. I just don't have the means to eat 6 whole muffins or chocolate croissants on my own, so for now I may have to find a different breakfast source. 😅

  They close before their scheduled. Google says they are open until 10 but usually they are not.

  I stopped by early this morning to grab a few breakfast items, paid via self-checkout, and happily exited. Upon leaving, of course I forgot one item for my wife so I went back to grab and pay for it. As I checking myself out, a staff member asked me if I paid for the items in my bag and insisted I show her my receipt. I was a bit taken aback as they literally just saw me check out and pay 5 mins ago, and I’m also at this save-on 2-3 times a week and have never had this issue. I don’t normally grab my receipt but I am glad I did this morning. A message to HQ - if you’re concerned about patrons not paying, harassing and spot checking your customers is not the solution. Remove the self checkout and add cashiers again. It’s unfair and potentially unsafe to expect your staff to accost customers. There’s a better way.

  Lacking cleanliness and hygiene. A staff member shelving produce had body odor so strong I actually choked on it. There's always a rancid smell coming from the back doors behind the fish counter. The other day, I opened a pastry drawer to get a croissant and a swarm of fruit flies came off them. I didn't take one, and noticed the other pastries had fruit flies on them.

  I went shopping at night during their opening hours, even though there were still more than 20 minutes until closing time, and the staff refused to give me the bathroom code, saying they were about to close.
