This place deserves ZERO FRICKEN STAR
I am beyond disappointed with my experience at the McDonald's on Victoria Drive and Kingsway in Vancouver.
I went through the drive-thru around 11:00 a.m. and ordered a Big Mac meal with fries and a root beer. I paid over $15 and honestly feel like I threw my money straight into the garbage.
The French fries were absolutely terrible. They tasted stale, like they had been sitting around and then refried. They were dry, chewy, and even had a strange fishy taste, as though the oil needed to be changed. They were completely inedible.
The drink was somehow even worse. I ordered a root beer, but what I got tasted like plain soda water with only the slightest hint of syrup. I kept drinking it thinking it would get better, but it never did.
What makes this even more upsetting is that I'm a single mom on a very tight budget. Spending over $15 on one meal is a luxury for me. I hate wasting food, but this meal was so bad that I ended up throwing almost all of it away. It was my only meal for the day, and now it's 2:00 a.m. and I'm still hungry because I couldn't eat what I paid for.
Everyone can have an off day, but the quality of the food and drink I received was unacceptable. If you're charging these prices, customers should at least receive fresh food and a properly made drink.
This was one of the worst McDonald's experiences I've ever had, and I won't be returning to this location.

To the General Manager, McDonald’s Kingsway
I am writing to report an unprofessional and disappointing experience at your Kingsway McDonald’s location on July 22 at approximately 12:00 a.m.
I arrived to pick up a DoorDash order and waited for over 15 minutes without receiving any update. After waiting, I politely called out the last digits of my order number so the staff could hear me. A female employee named I don’t know and immediately accused me of speaking too loudly. I explained that I was only raising my voice slightly because I thought she could not hear me.
Unfortunately, instead of helping, the situation escalated. During the conversation, she called me “stupid.” I responded, “Same to you,” after being insulted. When I asked to speak with a , she told me to cancel my order, even though she had no authority to ask me to do that. As a DoorDash driver, canceling an order negatively affects my work, and I should not be asked to do so because of an employee’s behavior.
While I was speaking with DoorDash Support to report the issue, the police were called. I respectfully explained to the officers that I was on the phone with DoorDash Support regarding the incident. The officers asked me to leave the premises after the order had already been reassigned, and I cooperated immediately. DoorDash later provided me with half pay, and I also reported the incident to their Safety Team.
This experience was very disappointing. I previously worked at a McDonald’s location east Hastings in 2022, so I understand the importance of treating customers and delivery drivers with professionalism and respect. Delays can happen, and I completely understand that. However, simply informing drivers that an order will take another 10–20 minutes would allow us to update our customers and avoid unnecessary frustration.
I respectfully ask management to review the security footage, speak with the employees involved, and provide additional customer service and delivery partner training. Delivery drivers are an important part of your business and deserve to be treated with the same respect as every other customer.
I hope this complaint will be taken seriously and that appropriate action will be taken to improve professionalism and communication

I arrived to pick up a DoorDash order and waited for more than 15 minutes without receiving any update. After waiting, I called out the last digits z38 of my order number so the staff could hear me. My natural speaking voice is louder than average, but I was not shouting or trying to be disrespectful. I simply wanted to make sure I was heard.
A female employee Panjabi girl , whose name I don’t know, accused me of speaking too loudly. I tried to explain that I was only speaking louder because I thought she could not hear me. Unfortunately, instead of trying to understand my explanation, she became confrontational. During the conversation, she called me “stupid.” After being insulted, I replied, “Same to you.”
When I asked to speak with a supervisor, she told me to cancel my DoorDash order. I do not believe it was appropriate for an employee to instruct a delivery driver to cancel an order, especially when doing so can negatively affect the driver’s account and earnings.
While I was speaking with DoorDash Support to report the incident, the police arrived. I calmly showed the officers that I was speaking with DoorDash Support. I provided a detailed account of the incident, including my interactions with the restaurant
