Today I visited McDonald’s with my 3-year-old daughter and had a very uncomfortable experience. We were sitting upstairs when the employee changing the garbage bags became visibly upset because a customer came to throw away their trash while he was working. After the customer walked away, the employee started muttering swear words and complaining under his breath. What made it worse was that he continued complaining and acting irritated while cleaning the other tables. I understand everyone can have difficult days, but this is supposed to be a family environment, and it was unpleasant having my young daughter watch and listen to that behavior the entire time. I hope management addresses this and reminds staff to remain professional around customers and children

The old lady working cashier clearly doesnt know what shes doing. She got my order wrong, she said an Egg BLT bagel doesnt exist, I let it slide since she's just some senior. I try to pay with a gift card and she's trying to convince me to pay with cash. Clearly she needs to be put somewhere not customer facing

I am beyond disappointed and horrified by my recent experience at this McDonald's location. I ordered curbside for my two young children, and it was a disaster from start to finish. First, the service was rude. After a long wait, a staff member thrust the tray at me without a single word of greeting. The drinks were spilled all over the tray and cups, I need to clean them myself before driving off. The real horror began at home. When we opened the bag my son’s burger patty is out of box (maybe they didn’t close well) So I made my son’s burger together nicely and went to kitchen to prepare my dinner . Suddenly My daughter called me &said She found something cannot bite ; a hard, white object in her burger. It looked like a bone or a tooth. If she had swallowed it, the situation could have been horrible. What if she already swallowed some part?? To make matters worse, I found a short hair inside my daughter’s box while inspecting the food. (My daughter’s hair is long ) When I called to report this, the first worker didn't apologize and acted as if I was bothering her. She said they didn’t put anything there and she didn’t know what is the white thing . Asked me bring burger and the white part to her. If she say “sorry and care more next time” , I would just dump the burger and give other food to my daughter . Thats it! But her attitude was so bad I tried to drive there . But suddenly I felt angry .. why I spend 20mins drive for this ?? So I called again and told her send me same burger and taking this burger & white weird part with your delivery man . But She even told me I would have to pay a delivery fee if I wanted a replacement sent out—for their mistake! I eventually spoke to a manager and she said sorry and asked me send pics as email and they figure out whats that and she will call me back right away . She got my name and number and I sent them immediately, but I have heard nothing back so far . So I just dumped burger today and kept evidences . This level of negligence regarding food safety and customer service is unacceptable. I checked this location’s reviews and saw the worker used hand to make burger without gloves ..if I saw that review,I would not go there .. I have kept the physical evidence (the object and the hair) and will be reporting this to the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). Save yourself the trouble and avoid this location—their hygiene standards are non-existent. Mac company really really need to educate their worker

It’s honestly surprising how they can be so busy during lunch, dinner, and even midnight, yet the food is still not fresh. The egg and sausage English muffin tasted sour I couldn’t even tell which part had gone bad. I only took a few bites before throwing it away. I also ordered the crispy chicken wrap. The chicken was completely burnt on the outside, extremely dry, and somehow colder than the salad inside. I’ve had this wrap a few times over the years, and it’s been like this every single time. Service was just as disappointing. When they get busy, they’ll give you your food but completely forget about your drink or ice cream. I waited about 10 minutes for the food and then another 10 minutes for the ice cream. I was standing right in front of the staff, and she still turned her back to me and focused on making drinks. There were at least 10 drinks lined up, and people who ordered after me got their beverages first. Definitely not coming back.

I went to pick up a DoorDash order on Sunday, April 12, sometime 5:30–6 AM through the drive-through. The first thing I heard at the speaker was only “collecting points” — there was no “hello,” “hi,” or any basic greeting. The employee’s name was Saloni. I told her I was there for an Uber pickup, and she simply said, “okay, next window.” When I reached the window, another girl was there and she was very kind. I asked her again about the doordash pickup, and she was confirming it with the girl working at the drive-through. At that point, Saloni said in Punjabi, “Enu andar bula la,” which in English means “Call him inside.” I asked that girl name from the girl who was on windows. I was honestly shocked by the way it was said. There was no respect, no courtesy — just a direct and rude way of speaking about me while I was standing right there. This is not Punjab; this is a professional workplace where staff are representing McDonald’s and should speak respectfully to every customer and delivery driver regardless of language. After going inside, no one came to help me for a while, and Saloni kept staring at me in a way that felt very uncomfortable and intimidating. As a delivery driver, I felt like I was being treated as if I was asking for something for free, instead of simply doing my job and picking up an order on behalf of the customer. The most disappointing part is that respect should be basic, especially toward someone older. I am also Punjabi and understand the language, but regardless of what language is spoken, basic respect and professionalism should always be maintained. This kind of behavior does not represent good customer service and reflects poorly on McDonald’s.
