It’s clean, and in a good location off the highway. I went in today close to closing and asked 3 people where can I find hot sauce -employee #1 said “I don’t know, ask customer service” and no one was at the desk. Employee #2 encountered “Aisle 9” and I didn’t find franks/Tabasco, nothing, just some ethnic brands. Employee #3 encountered and I asked “hey where can I find ketchup,” and he replied, “I don’t know I can’t tell you” and walked away on his phone. I found the hot sauce in the ketchup aisle, where employee #3 also entered behind me and was stocking stuff. I asked customer service for some kind of form to fill out about my experience and her response was “those people are new, and employee 3 only works here 4-6hrs a week, today has been a shit day, we are short staffed.” That still doesn’t explain the fact that they’re trained to know which aisles to direct customers to, not to just walk around and stock items. I worked at a grocery store in the past, a much bigger one than this Save On, and it was part of our training to know where things are. People these days just want to show up, not do any work, and collect a pay cheque. Jim Pattison should provide better training. He has the $ for it.

Helen in the pharmacy is an absolute lifesaver and the best pharmacist out there. I come exclusively here for all my medications because of how great the service is.

I stopped shopping here after purple haired TJ dropped $10+ of tomatoes on the ground and gleefully *threw* them in my cart. The tomatoes came home blistered and were tossed, while the store lost the $400+ in revenue that my family spent each week at this store as our main grocer due to Tomato Gate. We have slowly been stopping in again for quick things as it’s close to home. Today TJ resisted helping my family in the self check out, because this customer service queen just couldn’t be bothered until she saw the new manager watching her. I tried to ask my husband something and she shoots her hand into my face and starts mumbling. I told her I wasn’t even speaking to her, and again she puts her hand in my face while apologizing. I’ll be sure to spend my money elsewhere- it was a mistake of ours to come back and give our business. 😆

I really enjoy shopping at Save-On-Foods. While they may not carry every product you’re looking for, they have a great selection of unique items that are difficult to find anywhere else. One thing that stands out is the customer service. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and make me feel like part of the family. That kind of experience keeps me coming back. Their bakery is one of my favorite departments. The bread is fresh, high quality, and consistently excellent. It’s definitely worth trying if you haven’t already. The only downside, in my opinion, is that the fruit selection is a bit limited. Other than that, the store offers a wide variety of quality products, and I always enjoy shopping there. I would definitely recommend giving Save-On-Foods a try if you haven’t already.
