  Really frustrated with my experience at the Save-On-Foods Hillcrest pharmacy. I went in person specifically to confirm they had a medication in stock so I could have my prescription sent there from my usual pharmacy. I was told they had it available, so I went ahead with the transfer. After making the trip to pick it up, I found out they didn’t actually have the medication at all. In the end, all I received was a quick “sorry, must’ve been a miscommunication,” which is pretty disappointing after wasting time and effort. I understand mistakes happen, but confirming stock accurately—especially when patients are relying on that information—should be a basic expectation.

  Went in to buy some produce and there was an oily/ greasy film on all the Roma tomatoes…spoke to an employee and apparently they spray the produce down with something when they receive it …

  Produce is 99% of the time great quality. I mean we have to understand sometimes things are in season. The store layout is extremely user friendly and all the staff I have run into in 10+ years are great! Super friendly and helpful when needed. I know people always say save on is a little more expensive than other stores, but they welcome price matching, and if you pay attention to sales etc you barely spend extra, and it’s worth it. I’ve tried superstore before and they’re horrible from quality to customer service to incompetence. Save on foods is the way to go. Worked at one almost 30 years ago and been a loyal shopper since!
