Very nice first time.Clean and very good deals to be found.
Buy-Low Foods’ North Surrey location (often listed around 104 Ave/144 St near Guildford) delivers on its promise: big-box selection, aggressive pricing, and a no-frills layout that rewards list-driven shoppers.
What stands out
Price-first format: The store leans into weekly “Buy Big, Buy Low” deals, with prominent price signage and case-lot displays in the centre aisles.
Fresh sections: The produce area is well-lit and stocked with staples (apples, oranges, seasonal veg) plus value bins; the meat counter offers packaged cuts and ground beef with clear price tags.
Layout & flow: Wide aisles, polished floors, and overhead category signs make navigation straightforward, though peak times can feel busy near checkout.
Convenience: Ample parking and a large, illuminated storefront make evening stops easy; the entrance area often features promotional displays and quick-grab items.
Who it’s for
Ideal for families and meal-preppers who want one-stop shopping without premium pricing. If you prefer boutique ambiance or extensive prepared foods, this isn’t the spot—but for weekly staples, bulk buys, and straightforward deals, it’s a strong North Surrey option.

Excellent place for quick shopping for groceries at great prices. Well maintained and Excellent displays for easy finding of requirements .
Excellent Customer Service is an additional plus.

Customer service is not good at all. One of the employees was looking at me like I'm homeless( because I was in my work wear.)
& Cashier didn't said single word.
There should be no judgements to be honest.
I’ve been shopping here on and off since I first arrived in Canada over three years ago because it’s close to my home. To be honest, I used to choose other grocery stores whenever I could. The selection felt limited, prices were high, and there weren’t many Asian products despite the neighborhood having a large Asian community.
Today, I was genuinely impressed. The store has made some fantastic improvements. I noticed great markdowns on everyday groceries and produce that isn’t perfect but is still perfectly good to eat. It’s a smart way to reduce food waste while helping customers save money. The store feels much more customer-focused than it did before.
I even asked if there was a new manager, but they told me it’s the same one. That made me appreciate these changes even more. It takes a good manager to recognize what needs to improve and have the courage to make it happen.
I’m really happy to see this store heading in such a positive direction. Keep up the great work!
