- BSBruce Le SmithJul 12, 20261.0Bought a payment card here in the spring. Used it once and then it glitched out and made $65 of Canadian currency disappear. Went in the day it happened and the employee at customer service kept rudely insinuating that I was being unethical, as she compared the wrong numbers on the card and the receipt. She called an evening supervisor who was professional and understood the situation, but said she had no power to do anything and asked me to come back during the day. Went back the next day as requested by management and the customer service employee said there was nothing they could do, and pointed at a Word document printed out and the words "FINAL SALE" scribbled on with faded highlighter. To me that suggests they've been selling faulty financial products to a number of other customers too, enough that they made a sign for it. Hope the CRA investigates them. When I go to Best Buy with a faulty product they say, 'We're sorry sir. Let us make this right, we stand behind every product we stock and sell. We'll make you whole again, and our insurance department will follow up with the distributor and manufacturer.' That would be an example of excellent customer service. I left the glitchy card with them and told them to donate the funds to charity. I will not be following up on this, I've already lost >$65 in time going in twice to be abused by their customer service counter employees. Caveat emptor.
