Today I picked up a few things at Save On in Parksville...the staff in the deli need to take a food-safe course. I wanted deli ham...the worker had to go to the back to get another one. He went through the doors to the back with gloved hands (the doors are filthy, you can see it plainly). He comes back with the ham and starts to open the package with the SAME gloves on! Seriously! I had to speak up. While I voiced my concerns about the obvious, the worker behind the counter starts wiping down the meat slicer, counter, etc. Well, at least he knew. And a comment about the BBQ outside the store. It was also filthy. There was "stuff" all over the front of it. I can't be the only one noticing these things? Save-On, do better!

Great place with tons of selection and friendly and helpful staff. I needed help finding stuff yesterday and David Smith (I think that was his name) was a great help.

To Manager,So I do shop here frequently..and it seems your check out girls are getting less and less courteous over the last year, all they seem to want to do is shove the grocerys at you and collect the money as fast as they can ,rarely now is there an exchange of civility like hello how are you or thks for shopping here ...but what really stands out is yesterday I went In to your parksville save on for just a few items So i used the express lane ,no hello just wheres your save on card .this was at 2:15 yesterday the clerk was a short pudgy girl in her late 20's with black hair and big rimmed glasses and obviously with her attitude just didn't want to be there,,I put the bag right beside her where there is a shelve with very little space for more then the bag but she chose not to put them in the bag but beside it where I had to reach and put them in...which was awkward for me because of the limited space..my last item was large pkg.of hamburger which I asked her to put it in a plastic bag incase it leaked onto my other grocerys, which she replied something about a bag I then asked her what she said and she said she said nothing I asked again then she said that it was a wastes of a bag to do that because it was vacuum sealed I explained to her that they have leaked in my bags on other occasions she then actually rolled her eyes at me twice and rudely asked me to just leave,,not that it matters to you because I'm just 1 customer out of 1000's but if she's like this over time she and other tellers will cost you, this is just FYI and I'm sure this is not the first time I and other customers have had this experience and say nothing,,,all customers ask is a friendly smile and a appreciation for shopping there when we spend what little money is available these days.
