First, I was told the advertised $10 meal deal was over, even though it was still being featured in the Dairy Queen app. After we'd already placed and paid for our order, the cashier actually came over to confirm that she'd checked the app, the deal was indeed still showing as available, and she was going to let the manager know. I appreciated her checking, but by that point we'd already ordered based on being told the deal wasn't available. I ordered my cheeseburger with no ketchup. It came with ketchup, so I brought it back and they remade it. The replacement then came with no cheese. When I pointed that out, they took the burger I had already handled back into the kitchen and attempted to simply add cheese to it, which raised some pretty serious food-handling concerns for me. The fries were unsalted and tasted strongly of old fryer oil. To top it off, I was charged an extra $0.30 for additional mustard. Obviously 30 cents isn't the issue in itself, but charging extra for a little more mustard while getting the burger wrong twice is pretty ridiculous. The cashier who checked the app was helpful, but overall this was an extremely disappointing visit: an advertised promotion I was incorrectly told had ended, two incorrectly made burgers, questionable handling of returned food, poor-quality fries, and an extra charge for mustard.
