  Abysmally understaffed. Almost every time I enter the store there are a maximum of 2 employees at the front tending to the self checkout, checkout lines, and customer service. Today self checkout was completely full and there were 3 people stuck waiting 5+ minutes for “assistance” due machine errors. One employee was at another checkout line and one was at customer service. When you have a self checkout that gives you an error any time you place a reusable bag on its scale you should have a dedicated employee for the self checkout area. This isn’t fair to customers or employees, who are no doubt overworked by this understaffing. Considering there is a sign placed at customer service stating they are “no longer hiring” this doesn’t seem to be a staff shortage, this is an intentional decision by managers.

  I was in this store last Monday August 17th. Bought several items. The potato salad had hard potatoes which tasted uncooked, lasagna loaded with spinach. Bad taste.

  Extremely expensive which is well known, we drive to Nanaimo for Walmart, superstore, and Costco. We live in Qualicum Beach
