I had a great experience here at the boathouse in new westminster. Nice views, great food and delicious drinks! River the host was super friendly and was very welcoming. Only thing I wish would have been different if river could have been my server. Excellent experience

Always a great time at the Boathouse. Been here multiple times and this time for a bday and was extra special. Food was perfect and it’s perfect for celebrating. Thank you Boathouse for a wonderful time and company.

Had a great early lunch here, my experience was fast better than the other reviews seem to indicate. For waterfront in this area this is a great option, service was fantastic and for was cooked perfectly. If I had to dock a small amount, I would love to see more local beer options on tap.

We’re longtime White Rock Boathouse patrons and were hesitant to go to the new west location due to recent horrible reviews. I will say we were seated quickly, got our food quickly and it tasted great! Even one of the servers from white rock remembered us and said hello! He wasn’t our server though. Once we got our food and drinks we didn’t really get checked on often. Our glasses were sitting empty for a while and our finished plates also sat for a while before they took them away. Service could have been better but it wasn’t terrible. We’ll probably go back.

Dear The Boathouse: A proper breakup letter from a loyal partner of 20 years This is perhaps the heaviest review I have ever had to write. As a loyal customer and registered member for nearly 20 years, I can honestly say I still love what this brand used to stand for. Back then, you were flawless—not just because of the great food and stunning waterfront views, but because of the warm, professional service that felt like coming home. You were, without a doubt, my absolute favorite restaurant in Greater Vancouver. With the heartbreaking closures of the Kitsilano, White Rock, and Port Moody locations, I drove out to the New Westminster branch today for the very first time just to chase that familiar shadow. Sadly, this long-awaited reunion turned into a complete disillusionment. The poor customer service and degraded overall experience made me feel like I was sitting in a stranger's restaurant. I could barely recognize the brand I loved for two decades. From a business standpoint, I completely understand your strategy of closing down locations to survive a tough economic climate. In business, cutting losses is a rational move. What I cannot understand, or accept, is the feeling that you are just throwing in the towel and letting yourselves go. If you think that slashing the customer experience, cutting corners on service, and sacrificing quality will save you money on the balance sheet—please let a loyal customer tell you the truth: you are wrong. Doing this does not lower your actual operating costs in the long run. It only serves to drive away the very last of your fiercely loyal members who have stood by you through thick and thin. I am not writing this out of anger, but out of pure heartbreak. I loved what you used to be too much to watch you go down like this. Please, hold the line and hang in there. Since New Westminster is your final stand, pull yourselves together and bring back the pride, quality, and service that once made you a West Coast legend. If this is truly the end, let's part ways with dignity. Do not ruin the customer experience and shatter the beautiful, decades-long memories of generations of Vancouverites on your way out. — A heartbroken 20-year member forced to walk away
