  I’m not to happy with my service today. I went in to get a few items which is something I tend to do quite a bit but today the service was not great. At check out I was served by worker who had a noxious odour like smoke or something but it wasn’t pleasant and after that I did not receive the correct amount of change.

  I’ve shopped at Save-On-Foods for years, but my last visit was honestly enough to make me reconsider coming back. I was there a couple weeks ago before returning to Vancouver and I’ve been meaning to write a review. The produce section smelled awful, and when I walked past one of the male employees with dreadlocks and a long beard working there, the odor was so strong it was genuinely uncomfortable. I don’t say that lightly as I’m not someone who complains about small things, but it was hard to even browse without wanting to leave the area. On top of that, his whole demeanor felt very closed off. I asked a simple question about where something was, and the response came off curt and uninterested, like I was bothering him. Customer service used to be a strong point here, so this was disappointing. Between the smell in produce from lack of hygiene and the attitude, the experience just felt unpleasant overall. I expect better from a store at these prices. Thank you.

  The place wasn’t too bad and was nicely clean overall, however during my stay in Nakusp I showed up later in the day around 20 minutes to closing to grab a few items and I felt very rushed by a few employees. I felt like I was getting looks and when I was going through check out they seemed really impatient and started pushing the next person’s stuff into mine before I could finish bagging my own stuff.

  Good selections but slightly overpriced. This is ths best place to get groceries in Nakusp.
