This experience was just one example of that. We purchased paper bags from the store and politely asked the cashier to bag our groceries. This has never been an issue before, and many other cashiers at this location have scanned and bagged our groceries at the same time without any problem. This cashier refused and told us he “can’t do two things at once,” which made very little sense given that we’ve seen it done countless times by other employees. Rather than trying to help, he came across as dismissive and gave us an attitude when we asked. I understand that every employee works differently, but the interaction left us feeling like providing basic customer service was an inconvenience. It’s disappointing to see the level of service slipping at a store we’ve supported for years. I hope management takes customer service more seriously because experiences like this make it harder to choose this store over other grocery options.
