  Have ‘cooked’ since I was 17 (83!) in 3 countries UK USA and Canada. My local Kamloops BC Save-on-Foods I describe and tell the Friendly, well trained staff that Save On Foods is The Best Grocery Store on the Planet.’ The Meat section is much much better than the local ‘Gourmet Meat’ market .

  I'm a pretty regular customer here at this save on and the quality of customer service has tanked lately. Today I came in to pick up some ingredients for dinner, and had a lengthy wait at the till. When it was finally my turn, the cashier (Rajvir or something her tag said) was extremely rude. She was also very rude to Rebecca, who is honestly the nicest cashier at this store who was cleaning at that time. This isn't the only instance either over the past few months. Always long lines in the evenings. More rude, "newer" cashiers. Clearly there have been some big changes in how this store hires and also just operates, and it's definitely not for the better. Considering save on typically charges more for general items, you'd think they would do a better job of hiring employees and vetting them. I'd also expect that they would have more people working throughout the day so lines don't have to get so big.

  In the last couple of years the prices have been super inflated.. more than other grocery stores. The quality has also gone down hill. The meat is tough and very overpriced. I caught them bleaching a steak I bought there.
