Oh My God. I was shocked. I wanted to grab some oranges (this isn't my usual save on.) A swarm of Fruit flies at the oranges. There was an only orange and i literally gasped. The worker there just looked at me. I bought yogurt as well. Served my niece and I. It was extremely sour. It's my fave yogurt the siggis one. :( Not a good experience and waste of money

We go in this larger Save On regularly and haven't had any issues, staff are friendly, store is clean - it is one of the best in their chain.
However, today the store had some issues. Busier than usual for their $1.49 offer days. We were lining up and the checkout till had broken down, upon request of the clerk we moved to a different line, one that was not yet open, she said she would be there momentarily. One of the managers came over and asked what we were doing there in a raised voice, I was less that impressed with this attitude. There was obviously a lack of communication between the checkout clerks and the manager, that is not the fault of the customers and my expectations is that this should be taken out on us.
That manager did open up that till we were told to wait at and processed our items, however, there were problems with that checkout too. She told us that they have old failing equipment at the store but had been turned down for an upgrade due to senior leadership wanting to part with the money. If this is in fact the case and is causing these type of issues, with staff getting so stressed out they become irate with customers, then it is time they bite the bullet and invest in the store. The store has been doing so well up to now I would not enjoy going there if standards of quality start to fail.

I recently visited a Save-On-Foods your location to return empty plastic water bottles that I had purchased from Superstore. I was informed that the store would not accept them because they were purchased elsewhere. If this is store policy, it should be clearly communicated to customers, as not everyone is aware of these restrictions.
I mentioned that I am an employee of Save-On-Foods, although I work at a different branch. I requested to see the policy. The supervisor(her name was jasmine as far as i remember)left for approximately 15 minutes and then returned with what appeared to be a policy found through a Google search rather than an official printed or store-issued document. When I asked for an official copy of the policy, I felt that my concerns were dismissed, and I was given explanations that did not adequately address my questions.
One thing that confused me was that the supervisor seemed to doubt my statement about being a Save-On-Foods employee, yet there was no effort to verify this information. Whether I am an employee or not should not affect the level of service I receive as a customer while shopping off duty.
After the supervisor left, another employee assisted me. I asked about receiving my points, but the employee did not appear to know how to process them. This raised concerns about whether staff are receiving sufficient training and support to serve customers effectively.
Overall, I was disappointed by the experience. I felt that I was not treated fairly or respectfully, and the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable. Save-On-Foods should ensure that all customers are treated equally and professionally, regardless of their background, race, or employment status. Customer service should be consistent and based on company policies rather than assumptions about an individual.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and reviewed by management. My goal is not simply to submit a complaint but to encourage improvements in staff training, communication of store policies, and customer service standards so that future customers have a better experience.

I have been shopping at this store for the last 20 years and visit almost every week. It is one of my favorite stores, and I usually spend $100–150, sometimes even more.
For the past few years, I haven’t felt the store was very welcoming. But today around 8:00 p.m., Mary made my visit special. She greeted me with a big smile, said hello, thanked me, and was very kind and friendly.
After a long time, I finally felt truly welcomed as a customer. Mary gave excellent customer service and made my day. I hope every cashier can be like Mary. Thank you, Mary
