  Not many Eastside Mario’s left in the world. Stopped in on my way home to Alberta. Paid my bill and as I was walking out the front door, the gal confronted me about dining and dashing (I think). Asked me to come with her to get her manager.. I was like ya okay-slow down. Also, they brought me a lemon for my ceaser salad in a shot glass and when I paid my bill and obviously no shot on the bill he asked me “what is this” - like the waitress gave me a shot and I didn’t pay for it but he needed reassurance!? Idk. Service was so slowwwwwwwwwww Didn’t feel good to be treated like that. Poor service and the owner dude obviously. You know what wasn’t very nice to anyone. IMO

  Had their Thursday special for 2. Dinner was excellent, 3 course dinner with Budda Boomers, salad, main course and small dessert. Had to get a box for leftovers, must also commend the excellent and pleasant service by our waitress.

  Manager oversat servers to fill their areas, split server areas between bar and dining room so girls running across whole restaurant. Manager came to help after 5/6 tables finished eating not while multiple tables were sat back to back to get everyone rolling

  My first impression was that there was no smell, it didn't smell like food was being cooked. We were there about 2:30-3:00 pm. This restaurant could use an update for decor, just gives off older late 90's/ 2000 vibes in comparison to other ESM like plastic coverings over some of the furniture for protection- i get you want to protect from spills or smells but it doesn't look good, plastic broken chandelier type lights. Service was good and waitress was friendly but there was only 2 other tables dining in the whole place. Food was...meh. Fettuccine Alfredo tastes from a jar, not nothing like homemade taste, chicken tastes and looks like its has come frozen from a box and reheated or kept in water, we didnt eat it. We did call ahead and verify there were gluten friendly options as we have someone with celiac and they were reassuring with this. Portion sizes have definelty decreased, even compared to other ESM and for the price you pay. Positives- good service, Italian wedding soup was good as always and love the bread! But I think on our next trip, we will look for something with a little more homemade and fresh ingredients.
